Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is a specialized branch of dentistry and surgery that deals with the diagnosis and surgical treatment of diseases, injuries, and defects involving the face, jaws, oral cavity, and neck. It includes trauma care, infection management, removal of cysts and tumors, corrective surgeries, and soft tissue procedures.

The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department at Sant Gajanan Maharaj Rural Hospital, Site Chinchewadi, provides advanced surgical care for conditions affecting the mouth, jaws, face, and neck. The department is led by Dr. Jagdish Sarvadnya (MDS), a highly qualified and experienced specialist committed to delivering precise and patient-focused care. The hospital is equipped with a modern Operation Theatre (OT) for both routine and emergency maxillofacial surgeries.

• OPD Services :-

1. Maxillofacial Space Infections – Diagnosis and outpatient management of infections affecting the oral cavity and facial spaces.
2. Maxillofacial Trauma – Initial assessment and stabilization of facial fractures or injuries caused by accidents or falls.
3. Oro-Dental Cysts and Benign Lesions – Identification and surgical planning for non-cancerous cysts and growths in the oral cavity.
